About UsOur MissionWe are a 501 (c) 3 non profit, University of Wisconsin student organization at UW - Madison, and currently a member of the Air Care Alliance. Founded in 2009 with the goal of introducing the UW community to the joys of flying and potentials of aviation, Badger Aviators has over 30 volunteers and many more members! Spring Ground School! 6-7pm
There is currently a free ground school being held every Tuesday night at 6pm for anyone interested in pursuing a private pilot license or who wants to learn more about aviation! If you would like to partake please email the course instructor, Evan, at evan6964(at)yahoo<dot>com!
Kickoff Meeting 7pm on Wednesday Feb. 15th in Humanities 1651Our spring kickoff meeting is scheduled for 7pm on Wednesday Feb. 15th in Humanities 1651. We will be going over what we have in store for the spring semester and will be there to answer any questions you may have. Soaring Team MeetingWe will be having a meeting this Wednesday (11/9) at 6:30 PM Educational Sciences 301 to talk about soaring, the team's goals, logistics of practice, and how you can get in on the action! To ensure professionalism and safety at the field all team members must attend an information and orientation meeting, like the one on Wednesday, prior to being allowed to partake in practice days. November 6th 10:45amWHAT: Tour of UW-Med Flight offices and helicopters with its captains! (http://www.uwhealth.org/med-flight/med-flight/20432) WHEN: Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 10:45am WHERE: Meet at the front of UW Hospital before heading up to the Med Flight pad. The free 80 bus route takes you right to the hospital and leaves from memorial union at 10:15! Email us at badgeraviators@gmail.com if you aren't sure how to get there. Ground School Fall 2011
Kick-off Social 6PM Tuesday September 27th Vilas 4028It's time to kick off this semester of aviation! Join us on Tuesday September 27th at 6PM Vilas 4028 to meet your fellow aviation enthusiasts and pilots. Starting off the social Evan will speak about a ground school course where students training for their pilot licenses will be able to take care of the written exam. Igor will then talk about sailplane flying and how you can get involved in the action. Finally, we will have time to mingle, allowing the opportunity to ask questions of club officers and pilots. This will be a super fun time! Wisconsin's Aviation History! - Noland 132 April 4th 7pmMembers interested in aviation and the history of Wisconsin joined Badger Aviators and Tom Thomas in exploring the exciting history of aviation in Wisconsin on Monday April 4th at 7pm in Noland 132! Sonex TourFriday February 25th some Badger Aviators headed up to Oshkosh, WI to take a tour of the Sonex facility. We had a chance to look at where and how Sonex produces kit aircraft for homebuilders. Visit http://www.sonexaircraft.com for more information on the Sonex kits.
